Horseback Riding
Today most of the crew went horseback riding at Kingdom of Breckenridge Stables. We got up and left the house
without eating any breakfast because we ate a cowboys breakfast at the stables. After we arrived at the stables
we got separated into two groups. We rode for an hour and a half and had a terrific time. The sights were
amazing and the wranglers were very nice and helpful. At the end of the ride we ate a cowboy’s breakfast
containing hot chocolate, orange juice, pancakes, eggs, and sausages. Afterwards we had some extra time so we
went shopping in Breckenridge for an hour before returning to the house to pack to go to South Colony Lakes and
Sand Dunes.
Flyfishing
The rest of the group went to the Snake River to go fly fishing. Five advisors and one explorer spent half the day fly fishing.
Some people had never been fly
fishing before, so they paired up with the most experienced fisherman.
Sadly, neither of them caught any fish, but many fish were caught with the
highlights being 18 and 22 inch trout. We returned home to find that the car rental
company did not have the 4x4 vehicles we required. A fiasco and heart
attack later, we are back on track packing for South Colony Lakes.
